Mel's Tire LLC majority owner Mel Reed, and three other owner-employees, Joe Drier, Al Mize, and Todd Preisner have a combined 75 years in the Emporia tire business. All four started working at Breck's Tire for S.L. "Breck" Breckenridge, they all grew up working for "Breck" who was a former employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber, starting his business in Emporia in 1971. He retired in 1996. After Breckenridge's death, Reed and his partners decided to go outon their own. Our team consists of local people and we are dedicated to working with our community to deliver trustworthy advice.
